Marilyn Manson has been nominated for his fourth Grammy Award, this time in the category for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for his album Born Villain’s lead single “No Reflection.”  This is his first nomination since 2004. The 55th annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 10, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  The event will air live on CBS at 8PM ET.

“Born Villain features [Manson’s] most visceral, provocative tunes in years”

A hard-rocking album, brimming with rich imagery, visceral blowback and the glamour-meets-gutter eroticism that his best work evokes.”

“Born Villain finds a seemingly refreshed and clear-minded Manson and his band poring through a diverse set of moods and styles in songs that cut a little deeper than the deliberate provocation of many of his previous works&hellipHe’s not just, as the song says, ‘Breaking the Same Old Ground.’”

“Marilyn Manson didn’t necessarily need to wage a comeback, but if that’s what fuels his creative fire, it’s definitely working.”

Marilyn Manson : ‘Slo-mo-tion’: Dirtyphonics remix

SLO-MO-TION: out now Dirtyphonics remix: August 20th on Beatport. Exclusive stream and download at RCRDLBL on 16th August for 24 hours http://rcrdlbl.com/2012/08/16/premiere_marilyn_manson_slo_mo_tion_dirtyphonics_remix_

Marilyn Manson is set to release ‘Slo-mo-tion’: Dirtyphonics remix though Cooking Vinyl. The track will be available as an exclusive stream and download at RCRDLBL on 16th August for 24 hours and will also be available from the 20th August on Beatport

“Slo-mo-tion” is the second single taken from Marilyn Manson’s latest album “Born Villain”. “The new record put simply has the ambition and determination of how I started making music in the first place,” Manson says. “It sounds like the first record in that it’s not afraid to do anything. I had to remove myself from my lifestyle and start fresh.”

“It doesn’t really sound like any of my old records. In fact it sort of sounds like what I listened to before I made records — Killing Joke, Joy Division, Revolting Cocks, Bauhaus, Birthday Party…It’s very rhythm-driven. I think this will probably be the grandest concept record of all.”

The tumultuous relationship Marilyn Manson has cultivated with the public through his genre-defying music and anti-status quo message of thinking for oneself has resulted in sold-out tours, protests, legal battles, adoration, hate, more than 50 million records sales, award-winning distilled spirits, several Grammy nominations and, most importantly, a long list of some of the most enduring and powerful singles ever, such as “Lunchbox,” “Get Your Gunn” “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” “The Beautiful People,” “Antichrist Superstar,” “Tourniquet,” “The Dope Show,” “I Don’t Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me),” “The Fight Song,” “Mobscene “Heart-Shaped Glasses,” “Coma White” and “If I Was Your Vampire.”

Marilyn Manson has had astounding success across the globe including three albums being certified platinum and three more certified gold in the USA, in addition to three top ten albums and two number-one albums (Mechanical Animals and The Golden Age of Grotesque).

Manson will be touring with Rob Zombie this November as part of the ‘Twins Of Evil’ tour.

MARILYN MANSON AND ROB ZOMBIE JOIN FORCES FOR “TWINS OF EVIL” U.S. AND EUROPEAN TOUR

MARILYN MANSON AND ROB ZOMBIE JOIN FORCES
FOR “TWINS OF EVIL” U.S. AND EUROPEAN TOUR
KoRn’s Jonathan “J Devil” Davis will Provide Support on Many U.S. Dates

LOS ANGELES, CA (Thursday, July 12, 2012) — It had to happen.  Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie are hitting the road together this fall, co-headlining the “Twins of Evil” tour.  Debauchery, theatrics, ghoulish imagery, and a full-on assault of all the senses are what’s in store for fans when the tour kicks off, first in the U.S. and then with a 10-country sweep through Europe.

Kicking off September 28 when both Zombie and Manson co-headline the first day of the Desert Uprising Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, expect defiant rock’n’roll showmanship in the form of these unholy rollers with the first U.S. date wrapping in Dallas on Halloween, October 31. For ticket on sale and purchasing info, log onto www.marilynmanson.com or www.robzombie.com.

“Finally!  Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen?  Who knows?  Who cares?  It’s happening now,” stated Zombie.  “If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour.  Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”

“I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour,” says Marilyn Manson“There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t fuck you up, than I surely will.” “Hide all drugs and firearms… I’m coming to town,” Manson stated.

J Devil, the DJ alter ego of KoRn’s frontman Jonathan Davis, will support the Manson/Zombie dates with his chaotic electro-metal. “I like to think of JDevil as the ‘anti-christ’ of EDM,” he said. “To play alongside Zombie and Manson is going to be a fucking sinister night all around, and an unbelievable theatrical experience. I can’t wait.”

Marilyn Manson’s eighth full-length album Born Villain debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, also grabbing the #1 spots on both the Heavy Album Chart and the Independent Album Chart. “This is Manson at his best,” says ARTISTdirect. “Elegantly, he slices throats and puts up a middle finger to everyone once more.”

For the “Twins of Evil” tour, Zombie and his band of maniacs – John 5/guitar, Piggy D/bass and drummer Ginger Fish – will bring their elaborate, multi-media production, complete with hair-raising theatrics, animatronic robots, oversized LED screens, a non-stop collage of psychotronic monster film clips, a spectacular light show, a gigantic robot with flames shooting out of its body, pyrotechnics, insane guitar riffs and vicious beats.  On August 7, prior to the kick off of the “Twins of Evil” tour, Mondo Sex Head, an album featuring new and unique remixes of Rob Zombie classics by some of today’s top DJs, including KoRn’s Jonathan “JDevil” Davis, Photek, the Bloody Beetroots, †††, Kraddy, Drumcorps, and Ki: Theory will be released (Universal Music Enterprises/UMe).  Fans can download one of the new songs, “Thunder Kiss ’65 (J-Devil Number of the Beast Remix),” from iTunes.

TO RELEASE ALBUM BORN VILLAIN

(COOKCD554) April 30th (27th in Ireland)

Hear the lead single “No Reflection” (FRYDL509)

Los Angeles, CA…Marilyn Manson continues to upend the mainstream with each new release, and his upcoming album Born Villain is about to take that a bit further on April 30th, 2012. Evidence #1, the single, “No Reflection”: http://bit.ly/mansonnoreflectionsoundcloud

KROQ debuted “No Reflection” yesterday and the lead single will be available exclusively on iTunes this Tuesday, March 13th. Blabbermouth was first to catch the premiere, reporting that the song’s chugging, faint-friendly distortion offers plenty of sonic waves for Manson to glide over reminiscent of glory-era Ministry.

“The new record put simply has the ambition and determination of how I started making music in the first place,” Manson says. “It sounds like the first record in that it’s not afraid to do anything. I had to remove myself from my lifestyle and start fresh.”

“It doesn’t really sound like any of my old records,” Manson says in an upcoming Revolver magazine cover story. “In fact it sort of sounds like what I listened to before I made records — Killing Joke, Joy Division, Revolting Cocks, Bauhaus, Birthday Party…It’s very rhythm-driven.

Born Villain will be released on Cooking Vinyl and Manson’s own label Hell, Etc.  Marilyn Manson has had astounding success across the globe including three albums being certified platinum and three more certified gold in the USA, in addition to three top ten albums and two number-one albums (Mechanical Animals and The Golden Age of Grotesque).
