Hannah Kathleen Releases New Single ‘Missing U’

Hannah Kathleen is a trailblazing 23 year old singer/songwriter and entrepreneur. The Dublin beauty is an artist whose very essence is based on a dynamic spark of creativity that permeates every area of her life, but seldom does it shine brighter than when she’s on stage or in studio doing what she loves – music.

Citing musical influences such as Whitney, Mariah, Ariana and Christina, Hannah’s voice is a fusion of vocal runs, that rise and soar with perfect, lush harmony-laden Pop sensibilities akin to the 90’s and indeed 00’s Pop divas. In new single ‘Missing U’, Hannah channels the subtle tones of Janet Jackson and Ariana Grande.

“Missing U’ is out now across all streaming platforms. This is a reflective romantic track, recorded remotely in Dublin due to the global situation, it’s a collaboration between Hannah Kathleen and German producer, SVRN.

The lyrics are particularly relevant to couples who have been missing/are missing each other due to COVID-19 lockdowns. It reminisces on better times with the hopes for a better future. It also features a cute reference to one of the most famous (and my fav) romantic movies of recent years, “The Notebook”!

Whether in Ireland or around the world (she is currently based in Norway), music is a universal language and Hannah Kathleen speaks it fluently. Music has always been her first love. As a performer she’s playful yet fierce, and her confidence, coupled with her authenticity, is what truly connects her with her audiences.

She’s young but already making waves, having performed not once, but twice, on Sir Richard Branson’s private island, Necker Island, in December 2018 & 2019, to guests including tennis legends Rod Laver & Martina Navratilova, as well as Sir Richard Branson himself. She has over 100,000 followers on Instagram, her word of mouth endorsement’s within the entertainment industry echoing across her social media.

Following her placement as a Miss Universe Ireland finalist in 2017 & 2018, she was invited back as a featured performer at the Miss Universe Ireland Final 2019 Show, as well as the famous ‘Blondwiesn’ Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich. She has been requested at a number of high profile events in 2020, in locations including Las Vegas but due to Covid, this had to be postponed. Now, Hannah resides next to a fjord in Norway where she has been writing and recording new music while the music industry eagerly awaits its reopening.

Double A Single: Sweet Dreams  & The Fox

Release Date 29th January 2021

Best known for the ethereal poise of her crystal singing voice, Lewis Barfoot announces her first new releases of 2021 from her upcoming long player. Sweet Dreams / The Fox is the new single by Irish/English singer and multi-instrumentalist Lewis Barfoot, due on 29th January 2021. Sweet Dreams / The Fox follows recent single Fisherman (November 2020), and are also taken from the debut Lewis Barfoot album Glenaphuca due in March 2021.

When asked about the single Lewis explains “this pairing of songs is a duet of love songs to my parents. Sweet Dreams is an original composition, inspired by and dedicated to my dearly departed mother, presented alongside my arrangement of traditional English folk track The Fox, which my father used to play to me as a child”. Lewis’s stunning, crystalline vocal and deft, chamber folk arrangements call to mind modern stars such as Ane Brun and Lisa Hannigan as well as classic artists such as Joni Mitchell.

Sweet Dreams and The Fox were both produced by Lewis, recorded at Soup Studios, London and mastered by Pete Maher. Featuring guest musicians Matt Dibble (Clarinet), Hannah Thomas (Cello) and Jonny Huddersfield Helm (Drums).

Having cut her teeth on the London folk circuit, appearing regularly for institutions such as Nest Collective, Lewis has recently moved back to her maternal home of Ireland, and is happily settled in Cork.

The Double A single will be available across all digital platforms on Jan 29th.

Bernadette Morris Announces New Single ‘These Ruins’ Oct 30th

Following the success of her widely acclaimed debut album, ‘All The Ways You Wander’, and subsequent release ‘Where the Heart is’, County Tyrone born singer and musician, Bernadette Morris is set to launch her brand new single ‘These Ruins’ on October 30th.

This track was inspired by a trip to Budapest, where old houses have been resurrected as bars and restaurants, the ruin bars – where the remnants of the old houses still remain.   A co- write with Mark McCambridge AKA Arborist, the two imagined an old house with memories and relics left untouched for many years. The song is about knocking the house down and rebuilding on the foundations of good memories and sentiments that remain from the former residents.

With a new album release set for late 2020, Morris has attracted collaborations a group of highly accomplished musicians and songwriters, including co-writes with Eleanor McEvoy, Johnny Brady and Ríoghnach Connolly.
