Bernadette Morris Announces New Single ‘The Shores of my Home’ Rel Date March 13th

Following the success of her widely acclaimed debut album, ‘All The Ways You Wander’, County Tyrone born singer and musician, Bernadette Morris is set to launch her brand new single ‘The Shores of my Home’ March 13th 2020.

This memorable original track is a reflection of growing up with sunny trips to Lough Neagh the place she now calls home at the foot of the Bann.  The largest freshwater lough in the British Isles, Lough Neagh is touched by 5 counties and the song is sure to awaken happy memories of care-free childhood outings for many of us.

With a new album release set for 2020, Morris has attracted collaborations a group of highly accomplished musicians and songwriters, including co-writes with Eleanor McEvoy, Ríoghnach Connolly and Arborist’s Mark McCambridge.   

As part of a busy performance schedule, Bernadette will be performing in Clonard Monastery on International Women’s Day, Sunday 8th March alongside Anúna, as part of Féile an Earraigh.

Morris continues to wow audiences throughout Ireland and abroad with her fresh take on traditional Irish folk songs and enthralls audiences with her modern versions of lilting Gaelic laments. Her album, ‘All the Ways You Wander’, produced by Sean Óg Graham of Beoga, is a varied and unique album with a rich mix of old traditional songs brought back to life and contemporary songs from the writing of Barry Kerr and John Spillane.

‘Shores of my Home’ forms part of a beautiful EP, ‘Where The Heart Is’, which presents a collection new songs sitting easily within the folk genre.  Recorded in Amberville studios, it features an array of heartfelt tracks, drawing on her own life experience. 

Speaking of this recording, Bernadette claims ‘each song reflects a period of time or place in my life and although these are very personal to me, they are themes relatable to us all.  I’m delighted to have this collection of my own writings and co-written tracks with some of my favourite artists and I am very much looking forward to launching ‘The Shores of my Home’ in March.’
