Indie Rock Band Valhalla Announce New Single ‘When I Come Home’ out April 24th
Valhalla, an Alternative Rock trio from Dublin, who cite influences such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Tame Impala Foals, Idles, Kings of Leon, Elvis, and LCD Soundsystem have just announced their brand new single ‘When I Come Home’, set for release on April 24th.
The track, an energetic emotive Alt-Indie rock anthem, is the prime precipice to launch the album and showcase the band’s wide appeal and musicality. This will be the first single from their much-anticipated debut album ‘Primal Features’ in Autumn 2020. The new music was recorded at Sonic Studios, Dublin and co-produced by Stephen Dunne.
2019 saw the release of their debut EP “Big Men, They Fall” which was well received. The band played numerous headline shows across Ireland & the UK, including Sold Out Shows in Whelans and Bello Bar in Dublin.
With the massive change in recent weeks with the COVID_19, the band is embracing modern technology and will be hosting a series of at-home gigs where they extend an opening welcome to their fans, old and new, to emerge themselves in the process of the new album. From each band member, the band will host a series of IGTV footage from each band member with interactive workshops and sessions dismantling the album and speaking about the recording process.
Valhalla is Mark Boyle (Vocals & Guitar) Barry Monahan (Bass & Keys) and Luke Alford (Drums).
“When I Come Home is a song about that point of a night out where you and your friends can’t say no to continuing on the session/ gaf party into the early hours of the morning and everything else that comes with that, it should be played at all sessions/parties going forward’.
