Cooking Vinyl Records are delighted to announce that they have signed Canadian recording artist Adam Cohen and will release his new album ‘Like A Man’ (COOKCD550) on October 3rd ’11 ( Sept 30th in Ireland ).  ‘Like A Man’ is Cohen’s fourth album release and sees him abandon the pop rock stylings of his previous releases and embrace his family inheritance with an intimate album of romantic poetic folk-pop that has echoes of his father Leonard’s finest work.  He previously released his eponymously titled debut on Columbia in 1998 followed by a French language album ‘Melancolista’ on EMI in 2004 then as lead singer/guitarist of the band Low Millions he released the album ‘Ex-Girlfriends’ on Manhattan Records in late 2004.

Says Adam; “I know it sounds strange but this feels like I’ve finally found my voice and that this record is my debut album.  I’m really proud of it and I’m delighted to entrust it to the team at Cooking Vinyl, who are a talented and artist-friendly bunch, certainly to this artist!  I feel this could be the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship.”

Says Martin Goldschmidt, owner and Managing Director of The Cooking Vinyl Group: “The songwriting and story telling on this album hit me for six.  Our whole team are really looking forward to working for Adam.”
