Clive Barne’s is all set to release new album & gets his music to HOLLYWOOD
Clive Barnes recently got his MUSIC PLACED IN NEW HOLLYWOOD FILM ‘GOSPEL HILL’ STARRING SAMUEL L JACKSON, ANGELA BASSETT, JULIA STILES AND DANNY GLOVER.
Clive has gained a worldwide reputation as being one of the finest Lapslide/Regular guitarists and songwriters of the utmost quality in the duration of his musical years so far. Having released four critically acclaimed albums, this year sets the tone for yet another exciting one, as he gears up for the release of his eagerly awaited and stunning New album THE GHOST COUNTRY. (Sept 11th) It is NOW AVAILABLE in all record stores NATIONWIDE.
Clive has toured the world over in the past 7 years including an extensive US tour, playing festivals and club dates from coast to coast. He has also toured France, Germany, Italy, Holland the UK and has built a considerable and passionate following around Ireland for his apt slide guitar playing and rootsy folk-like songs- selling out many of his gig’s in some of the country’s finest venues. Clive has also recorded and toured with some of the biggest legends in music, who hold high esteem for this Irish musician and act: JEFF BECK in Vicar St (recently), Eric Bibb (as Eric’s slide guitar player 2005- 2006), Joe Cocker, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Seasick Steve, Joe Ely, The Flatlanders David Crosby, Dr. John, Peter Green, Garth Hudson (The Band) & Rodrigo Y Gabriela. Clive has also recorded with: Eric Bibb, Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt (on Eric Bibb’s latest album Get on Board). Such a wide array of acts mentioned above should give an insight into the calibre of Clive Barnes Music.
Clive has won numerous awards including Album of the Year in US Magazine Acoustic Guitar & Frets Magazine USA Best New Acoustic Guitarist Nominee. And has performed on RTE’s longest running TV show The Late Late Show (twice), RTE’s The View, The highly acclaimed Other Voices series.
