New Album Released March 27th (30th in the Uk)

The Prodigy releases their new album ‘The Day Is My Enemy’ on March 30th ( 27th in Ireland! ) and you can now hear it in full exclusively on iTunes in the run up to release. The band introduced the album in January with the uncompromising first single ‘Nasty’, followed shortly after with the album’s title track, shaping it up without doubt as one of the most exciting albums of  2015.

The band’s new single ‘Wild Frontier’ came backed by the equally brilliant animated video devised and directed by Mascha Halberstad, watch the video here http://po.st/WildFrontierYT

Alongside the album streaming on iTunes the band also reveal the much anticipated ‘Ibiza’ featuring Seaford Mods. Perfectly encapsulating Liam Howlett’s comments regarding the integrity (or lack thereof) in some of today’s dance music culture and the sanitised superstar DJs that fill the white island, the track is another shining example of The Prodigy’s heart-on-the-sleeve punk rock spirit they’ve always championed. Ibiza will be released as an exclusive limited edition glow in the dark 7” for Record Store Day on April 18th.

THE PROCLAIMERS – ‘Let’s Hear It For The Dogs’

Released April 24 on Cooking Vinyl

My favourite band of all time. They write the most spectacular songs, big hearted, uncynical passionate songs.’ David Tennant

The Proclaimers - Let's Hear It For The Dogs COOKCD616 RGB

Strikingly individual, twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid have over the years enjoyed huge successes across the globe and on April 24th this year release their 10th studio album ‘Let’s Hear It For The Dogs’ (Cooking Vinyl).

They completed their last 2 year-long world tour late in 2013 in spectacular fashion as the first Scottish band to play at the new Hydro Arena in Glasgow. They then took 2014 off to focus on writing before heading to the studio in December.

The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales and produced by Dave Eringa (The Who, Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey, The Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild). 2014 saw Dave produce and mix the new single for The Who called ‘Be Lucky’ and enjoy great UK and international success with Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey’s album ‘Going Back Home’.

Craig Reid “It was a joy working with Dave, he understood what the songs were about and let the band describe them. Also one of the funniest people we’ve ever met.”

Charlie Reid “We had loved the work he’d done with the Manics and thought the Johnson & Daltrey record brilliantly produced. The recording was a great experience; everything went more smoothly than any other we’ve made. It was great to be back at Rockfield. The band all played beautifully and we’re really proud of the album and hope that people enjoy it too.”

Dave Eringa “I knew when I produced The Proclaimers that the songs would be great but even then I was shocked by the sheer quality both lyrically & musically of the material & the breadth of styles they covered. The band were amazing from beginning to end & I can honestly say it was the easiest path to an astounding result that I’ve ever been lucky enough to tread!”

The Proclaimers have carved a niche for themselves where pop, folk, new wave and punk collide as the emotional honesty, political fire, wit and sing-along raucousness of their songs and their extensive touring has enlightened and entertained fans new and old. In the process they have enjoyed Gold and Platinum singles and albums in UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Following on from the theatre success of the musical drama featuring songs by The Proclaimers, ‘Sunshine On Leith’, the movie version was a hugely popular release in 2013, spending a month in the Top Ten and generating over £4.8 million at the UK box office, the fifth highest grossing independent release of the year.

Honey Ryder

Single “Drink With Me”

Release date March 13th 2015 – just in time for St Patrick’s Day

Having firmly established themselves within the inner circle of Nashville’s elite, UK band Honey Ryder return to spearhead the British/Irish country crossover invasion with their 3rd studio album, ‘Born In A Bottle’. Featuring co-writes with Tom Douglas [Lady Antebellum ‘I Run To You’], Rivers Rutherford [Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Brad Paisley] and Blair Daly [Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban], the trio headed back to Ocean Way Nashville for the bulk of the recording, and were mentored by legendary producer Paul Worley [Lady Antebellum, Dixie Chicks].

‘Drink With Me’ is the first single from the album. “We wanted to write a summery feel good song about hanging out with friends and partying, inspired by the bright lights of Downtown Nashville”, explains lead singer Lindsay O’Mahony. “We had just come back to our hotel after a fantastic night at a bar called Pucketts, where we feasted on deep fried green beans and drank beer out of jam jars, and felt inspired to write, so we started jamming and within a few hours the song was pretty much finished. We then recorded it a few days later over at Ocean Way”. The single will be released on March 13th in time for St Patrick’s Day.

The new album follows on from the success of 2nd album Marley’s Chains, which spawned several Radio 2 playlists as well as being Album Of The Week across the Smooth Radio Network and Music Week, and TV appearances and performances on BBC Breakfast, ITV This Morning, and C5 Live with Myleene Klass. Lead track Marley’s Chains was synced in the hit ABC series Body Of Proof. Internationally, the album received strong support in Canada, Holland, and most recently Denmark, where the band enjoyed Top 20 airplay.

Honey Ryder kick off a busy festival season of touring with two performances at C2C at the O2 in March, followed by the Isle Of Wight Festival and other UK festivals, with several Scandinavian dates to follow. A Bob Harris Radio 2 session has already been confirmed for March.
