Tupelo the ever exciting, original, acoustic roots act consisting of an eclectic line-up of instruments including banjo, guitar, fiddle, double bass, mandolin, harmonica and dobro have finally announced details on their brand new studio album PUSH ON.

They have just announced the lead single “Old Country” taken from their upcoming studio album PUSH ON which was produced by Joe Chester and mixed by Greg Calbi  (Beth Orton, The National, Fallout Boy, Bruce Springsteen) and gets its official release on Feb 21st 2014. Tupelo are signed to Crashed Records. Tupelo have since released singles from their album, ‘Don’t Let Go’, ‘Firefly’, and ‘Irishman’ with the songs garnering plentiful radio play from stations up and down the nation. The album was also released in the UK with songs on the album receiving airplay on UK stations including BBC Radio 2.

Formed in the winter of 2008 in Dublin, the band attributes their progress to relentless gigging up and down the country, honing their craft doing so and gathering a word of mouth endorsement for their powerhouse live show performances.

2013 saw Tupelo embark on many overseas tours with a string of dates in the UK and Denmark. They also travelled to Russia for the first time and played several well-received shows. Tupelo where also voted the Best Trad/Folk act in the Hot Press Reader’s Poll. Their album is a fine mix of nu-folk amassed in a traditional musicianship, beguiling in their youthful exuberance.

Kid Coy are an alternative electronic duo hailing from the Nations capital, Dublin. Formed in 2012, they are comprised of Lead vocalist and guitarist Tom Doyle and Dermot O’Neill on backing Vocals and Keyboards. Kid Coy’s music ranges from Alternative to Electronica to Pop with soft folk subtleties delicately sub-lining their debut single ‘Sun God’, which is set for release on Feb 21st.

Their debut album ‘Resolute’ was recorded and produced by Irish producer Karl Odlum (The Frames, Kila, Gemma Hayes, David Kitt). Karl also made a guest appearance as the albums bassist. It also features collaborations with Violinist and Vocalist Ciara Brennan and Drummer Cion O’Callaghan (Paddy Casey/Mundy). Resolute is the forthcoming album, which will be released April 25th.

In 2013 the band garnered notable attention from home and abroad when their rendition live You Tube performance of the song A Real Hero from the movie Drive, gained much positive feedback for the band. American website covermesongs.com stated “Kid Coy’s rendition mines the song for a subtler beauty and achieves that goal magnificently”. Notable Spanish digital artist Luis Beltran provided the artwork for the bands album having being impressed with early demos of the bands music.

Kid Coy’s live sets range from full band to stripped back acoustic sets which have gained a positive word of mouth endorsement with local audiences and led them to play the headline slot at the The National Gallery Of Ireland for Culture Night 2013 and also to play venues such as The Academy and The Unitarian Church.

Yorkshire 5-piece Embrace have announced their return, releasing their first album in seven years with their self-titled new album ‘Embrace’ released on 25th April through Cooking Vinyl.

With 3 number one albums, 6 top ten singles, sold out arena shows, over 2.5 million record sales and their last record achieving both #1 album and #2 single, Embrace were on the crest of a wave when they suddenly vanished without a trace. But now they are back with a fantastic new album conveying a more raw and darker sound whilst still keeping their signature anthems and huge choruses. Embrace are set to return with a bang.

Embrace are brothers singer Danny McNamara and guitarist Richard McNamara, bassist Steve Firth, keyboardist Mickey Dale and drummer Mike Heaton and the band recorded the new record in their own studio in Halifax over the last three years.

The first release from the record will be the single ‘Refugees’ which will be released as part of a 4-track EP on 14th February, giving fans a taster of the new record with three brand new songs not featured on the new album. The tracklisting for the EP is ‘Refugees’, ‘Chameleon’, ‘Decades’ and ‘Bullets’. ‘Refugees’ is an instantly catchy track that launches into a huge anthemic chorus with vocals from both McNamara brothers backed by electro beats and epic guitars. The EP will be available as a 12” and digital download with anyone pre-ordering the EP receiving ‘Refugees’ immediately as an instant grat track. Embrace recently performed two secret shows for fans in their hometowns of Bradford and Halifax. The shows have been a showcase for various off the wall shock art tactics, with the band taking the secret gig concept to the next level with a gig in the darkness and a gig in a boxing ring, with the audience dressed in white boiler suits and covered in neon paint. Though the shows were strictly secret, fan forums went into meltdown with both shows selling out in minutes and fans flying in to see the band from as far as Australia and Japan. In February, Embrace will play 4 intimate shows in Scotland with tickets going on sale on Friday 17th January.
