Following up on the successful release of her debut album “Settling Dust” Katherine Lynch announces the release of her third single “Burning Sun” on June 28th

ed singer.  While her debut album is firmly rooted in folk and trad, “Burning Sun (Summer Mix)” is her first venture into the world of dance music.

In celebration of the release and this new musical venture, Katherine will be debuting the track at this Saturdays’ Pride festival.  Along with the debut of the single Pride also marks Katherine’s debut major live musical performance, something she is delighted to be embarking on.  With a solo show taking place on the 5th of October in Dublin’s Sugarclub, Katherine is extremely excited to be continuing this musical journey.

“Burning Sun (Summer Mix)” will be available from iTunes and all god digital music stores.

Taking a break from the comedy aspect of her career, Katherine Lynch is embracing another role she has long wanted to engage in. A music venture.

Katherine Lynch recently released her album ‘Settling Dust’ (March) and she will head into live duty on October 5th 2013 in The Sugar Club. Tickets for the show are €18 inclusive of booking fee and tickets go on sale this coming Tuesday 28th May at 9am. Lynch promises that the show will be a mix of comedy and music and is looking forward to showing her fans and new fans alike her stunning live show with full band.

Johnny Vegas has directed and appeared in a video for Billy Bragg’s new single ‘Handyman Blues’ (released July 15 on Cooking Vinyl) with an all-star cast of comedians and actors who are Billy Bragg fans.  Johnny, a lifelong fan of Billy’s songs, recently sought out the ‘The Bard Of Barking’ for help with some music for a drama he was directing called ‘Ragged’, featuring Ricky Tomlinson. As a thank you, Johnny offered to make a video of the song he loved on Bragg’s new CD ‘Tooth & Nail’.  In the song ‘Handyman Blues’, Billy laments that he is useless at DIY, but suggests that he is creative in other ways. The video, produced by Beverley Dixon of Woolyback Productions, was filmed at the Wickes D.I.Y. store in Uxbridge.

Johnny says, “It’s not every day that you get to direct a video for a genuine icon, especially one as respected and admired as Billy is”.
