Tower Records 1pm today! John, Shelly & the Creatures

Final reminder that the Belfast foursome will be in top form today at lunchbreak for their free gig in Tower Records at 1pm.

Really there is No better way to spend your lunch break today! To celebrate the release of their new single ‘FOOLS’, JOHN, SHELLY & THE CREATURES hold a FREE GIG IN TOWER RECORDS AT 1PM.

PLACE:TOWER RECORDS, WICKLOW STREET, DUBLIN

‘FOOLS’ is a defiant twist of the multi faceted musical dimension of Belfast city’s: John, Shelly & the Creatures. Out Aug 13th the band will perform a free gig instore in Tower Records (Dublin) at 1pm this Friday on Aug 13th where the ALBUM ‘Dinosaur’ will be on SALE + MERCH. In fact the first one to get and shout “DINOSAUR” like a T-REX will win a free T-shirt and signed album. ( joke )

On the lead up to their Debut album launch, they performed on Ireland’s biggest and most well known TV show: THE LATE LATE SHOW. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGIghvAKlZg ) Their first single ‘LONG MAY YOU REIGN’, received (and still receives) critical acclaim. It featured in The Northern Irish Tourist Board TV, Radio and Cinema Advert. They performed the song live, to over 20,000 spectators in the RDS arena, which was a high moment for the band in their short career to date. Their last single ‘KILLER’ was performed live across a number of TV shows including Dave Fannings 11th Hour, BBC2’s Imeall Gael & on an official live web stream on Muzu.TV featuring JEDWARD (yes Jedward!) as the bands backing dancers.

NEW SINGLE “THE ANSWER” out Sept 10th + ELECTRIC PICNIC DATE FRIDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER

Brand new single “The Answer” (feat. Big In Japan) released in conjunction with James Lavelle’s major new art exhibition and collaboration at Haunch of Venison.

UNKLE’s new single ‘The Answer’ is the follow up to ‘Follow Me Down’ and is taken from the critically acclaimed new album ‘Where Did The Night Fall’. It is also the lead track from new EP titled; ‘The Answer’, a collaboration with improvisational Baltimore-based band Big In Japan, who have been touring as the backing band for UNKLEsince 2007, is a towering anthem and an album highlight.

Stadium in size, the lush, layered vocals sound all encompassing when set against epic, Middle-Eastern tinged strings, tumbling drums and a fuzzy bassline. Oscillating between quiet lulls and soaring highs, it once again sees UNKLE alight on entirely new ground to exhilarating effect.

The EP shall receive both a limited edition vinyl and digital release and features a mixture of brand new tracks and reworked version of songs from ‘Where Did The Night Fall’.
